About the Event

Hello Community!

Join Encore! Theater Group and the Cast for a special presentation of Day of Absence by Douglas Turner Ward which recounts the uproarious emergencies that occur when a Southern town is faced with the sudden and inexplicable disappearance of all its black and brown citizens.

A note from our Artistic Director Benisha Dorris-Williams "By producing this show, we aim to promote social discourse and change by providing entertainment that shows different perspectives than our own. Theater demands that society examines itself in the mirror as we study societal problems and attempt to find solutions. Coming together as a community to listen to opposing points of view is necessary to societal changes and harmony."

We want to send a special thank you to the Thomas Dunn Learning Center (TDunn) for their continued support and partnership!!
